Arabian - HAHR |
15 year old, HAHR Arabian mare. Stands about 14.3 - 15 hands.
She is a good trail horse. Goes where you point her with no problem.
Ridden around our 230 acre farm and on state conservation trails.
Crosses water, mud, and bridges.
Around all sorts of farm animals. I've used her to bring cattle home.
I've even ponied her from the rear of my 9n ford tractor.
She will go first or last and willingly leaves the party we are riding
with.
She crosses creeks, bridges and logs with no problem.
She is accustom to tarps, umbrella, plastic bags and saddle bags.
I've also dragged some small posts home with her.
She moves on a slack rein, neck reins and is beginning to leg cue.
She can move over by me just shifting in the saddle.
She has a comfortable trot that can be slowed down to a very light,
smooth prance.
This horse loves going on the trails. Gets along with other horses.
After riding 8 miles she can go another 8 with no problem.
She is sure-footed. I have had no fear of this horse stumbling.
Stands for the farrier. Loads and bathes.
Bridles and saddles with no incidents. Stands while being mounted.
Stands tied quietly.
She is alert but not flighty.
Sophia is a flashy horse that stands out in a herd of sorrels, bays or
buckskins you name it.
She is the perfect trail horse for an experienced rider.
This mare has potential to be a fine harness horse or dressage horse as
well.
I have ground driven her in harness just haven't hooked her up to the
cart.
