Date Born  April 14, 2008 Description
Breed  Paint - Draft Cross Brandy's training started June 2011.
It happened one evening at dusk, she was brought in from pasture and
in about 15 minutes was saddled and rode in a small area.  She did not spook or offer to buck.
Since that time she has been ground worked, lunged and taught to obey voice commands.
Besides being calm and easy to work with, she has very striking paint markings.
Brandy's mother is Flair, our Paint, Belgian draft cross.  Her sire, is our paint stallion Director.

Brandy is a strikingly painted mare.  She has had a lot of handling from birth but I have just started riding her this spring, 2012.
Having a calm dispostion this mare would make a great family/trail horse.
I have used her a little to pony a spirited arabian that I've started under saddle, because she is so laid back.
Brandy is a very curious girl and loves to be around people.
I have ridden her mostly on back roads and around our farm.
She is around tractors and our many farm animals such as our pigs and geese not to mention
our dogs and cats which are always "under foot".
Because Brandy has some Belgian draft  blood she is a  stout girl with a pleasent ride.
She is not fast but paces
herself with long even strides. She is learning to neck rein and leg cue.
As with every horse I train I try to familiarize her
with many things so she will be an enjoyable, useful horse.
Brandy would make a good driving or harness horse.
